Staff at Acorn Court, Alderwood and Queen Elizabeth Park are delighted to have raised money for one of its favourite charities recently.

The members of the teams took part in the Memory Walk on 7th and 14th September, representing Carebase, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Approximately 650 people took part altogether, as well as TV personality, Ruth Langsford, who is ambassador for the charity.

Before the walk, the participating members of staff set up a Just Giving account and welcomed donations for the 3-mile walk that the teams completed. Carebase Central Office donated to the worthy cause and they colelctive raised a very impressive £2000.

The Alzheimer’s Society is very dear to Carebase and all its homes’ hearts and the staff and residents at Acorn Court, Alderwood and Queen Elizabeth Park are delighted with the teams’ great achievement.
