With an air of anticipation and hope for the year ahead, the first of two doses was administered by our health partners from the local community to excited residents and team members in January.
Speaking of receiving her immunisation jab, our resident Rachel says: “I feel very privileged to have received my vaccine and hope this inspires the younger generation to support the rollout.”
Resident Hazel tells us: “As a former nurse I know how necessary vaccinations are to keep us safe and well. We must trust that medical professionals have our best interests at heart.”
Similarly reassured, Bridge House’s Home Manager, Lucy Porter, told us: “The vaccine gives our residents, care team and families real hope for the future. There is finally light at the end of this long tunnel.”
As we work with our health partners to roll out the second dose of the vaccine, we continue with the stringent upkeep of our enhanced safety measures that have been in place over the past year. This includes regular testing for team members and residents, high-quality PPE worn at all times by all members of our team, enhanced cleaning schedules, and regular reviews of our approach to ensure we remain at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
