Sharon Davies who works at Queen Elizabeth Park care home has won Heart of Gold Award at a ceremony held at the home on Thursday November 24th November.
The Awards seek to recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents.
Heather De-Ninis, manager of QEP said, “Sharon is one of our most dedicated team members, having worked at QEP since 2012. All of the staff love working with her. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the residents find her fun and entertaining, making them laugh as much as possible. Thank you Sharon you are simply one of a kind”.
Sharon was presented with a Tiffany necklace to commemorate her success by Alnur Dhanani, Chairman of Carebase.
Nominations for the award came from residents and their relatives, co-workers, social workers and local health professionals. Sharon was chosen from the list of nominations by a panel of previous Heart of Gold award winners from all the other homes in QEP’s group.
Sharon said, “Never in a million years did I think that I would be nominated this years’ Heart of Gold Ambassador. I am thrilled to be part of this QEP team who are so incredible in all they do. Thank you to you all for everything you do”.
Altogether there were 33 nominees for the award at QEP. All nominees received a Heart of Gold lapel pin.
