Councillor Eileen Pallen, Mayor of Bexleyheath and the Mayor’s consort, Mark Pallen officiated at the ‘Topping Out’ ceremony for Heathfield Court, our new care home in Northumberland Heath, due to open in April 2017.

The Mayor donned her high visibility jacket and helped to plant a tree on the outdoor terrace to mark the final stages of the homes build.

The Mayor said: “I am delighted to take part in today’s ceremony having personally watched with much interest this exceptional home being built.  I am hugely impressed with the quality of environment and facilities that will be available at this home.  I look forward to being invited back to meet the new residents who have chosen to make this their new home in the spring”.

The ceremony was also attended by Heathfield Court’s Home Manager, Janet Collings, Lorraine Porter, Deputy Manager and Nicola Coveney, Managing Director of Carebase, the award-winning care home company who own Heathfield Court.

The home will offer high standards of comfort in a stylish environment. Luxury bedrooms will have a DVD player and a mini fridge. Facilities will include a brasserie, a cinema, a private dining room and a spa and hair salon. There will be large lounges on each floor with a library area. The upper floors include private roof terraces and the ground floor gardens will have many interesting features.

Janet Collings said: “We already have 28 residents on our waiting list and we are looking forward to welcoming them to Heathfield Court. We will be able to offer all levels of care at Heathfield Court so we can meet a range of needs from day to day support with mobility right through to those who need quality nursing care. Our show suite is open and we would be delighted to show people round and answer any questions they may have about the home and the care we will provide”.
