Our cherished residents here at Heathfield Court have received so many letters and gifts from local children and relatives alike to let them know that, even though they are apart, they are not alone. This has meant a great deal to our residents who have spent many hours writing heartfelt letters of thanks back. We were also over the moon when we received a giant rainbow made with woolen pom-poms to brighten up our reception. It certainly inspired us to up the creativity stakes for our own art projects!

As well as these artistic gifts, we’ve been sent care packages from the charity Re-Instate and have been overwhelmed by the generosity of donations from local friends and businesses who surprised us with many wonderful gifts for our residents to enjoy. We’ve had so many donations, from chocolates, teddies, hampers, and Harrods gifts, courtesy of family members, to sweet treats from Lilly’s Cupcake Boutique and Domino’s Pizza. Lola Benson was kind enough to drop off bags of shopping for the team and Heathfield Court neighbours, Hayley and her family, made some delightful chocolate fudge cake and mini apple crumbles for all to enjoy.

It has been these gestures, from local friends and companies alike that have truly touched us; the effort the community has gone to, to stay connected and let our residents know they are still a much-loved part of this neighbourhood, has strengthened our bond even tighter than ever.
