Charity of the Year Partnership

Charity of the Year Partnership zoom

Bramley Court has raised over £1,000 for Cambridge’s adult hospice, since partnering with the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity this year.

Team members and residents took part in the Star Shine Night Walk on Saturday 19 May. They joined hundreds of other walkers to remember and honour the people they love and care for.  Call The Midwife actor Cliff Parisi got the walk under way by sounding the start klaxon.

Lisa Houghton, home manager, comments: “It was an incredible evening and we were proud to sponsor the 10th anniversary walk. We are passionate about giving back to our local community and this is a cause close to our hearts. The money raised will ensure this vital service can continue for years to come. Taking part in the walk has been part of focus on health and wellbeing at Bramley Court.  No matter what types of care our residents receive, everyone was keen to get involved.”

Team Bramley will continue to fundraise for the hospice throughout the year. Activities include a summer charity dinner and a sponsored triathlon in October. The Arthur Rank Hospice needs to secure over £7 million every year to deliver services free of charge to patients and their loved ones.
