Bramley Court receives Outstanding rating by Care Quality Commission zoom

Following an unannounced visit in October 2019, we are proud to share the latest findings of the Care Quality Commission’s inspection report.

The report stated that “People who lived at Bramley Court received outstanding care from a passionate and dedicated staff team. Staff valued people and their life experiences, and they knew people extremely well. They provided care that was exceptionally individual to each person and their likes, dislikes, and preferences.”

Lisa Houghton, manager of Bramley Court said: “It is wonderful to receive such a rating from the CQC. The inspection process is very thorough and looks at every aspect of care – and across all departments. So, I am very proud of all my team for their consistent hard work, dedication and compassion for our residents and their families.”

The CQC’s unannounced visit examines whether a home’s services are safe, caring, effective, responsive to people’s needs, and well-led.  Commenting on the accreditation, Jane Hall and Marion Foreman, directors of All Together Better who partner with us on the delivery of Bramley’s health and wellbeing programme said:

“What makes Bramley Court so special is that every single person in the home is treated with respect and loving care. The life of everyone who lives there matters with every member of staff unendingly patient and, above all, kind. As two registered nurses with over 90 years of nursing experience, many of which have been spent caring for older people, we know how to spot ‘outstanding’ care – and this is what Bramley offers.  We are proud to be part of the care team family and their very well-deserved accolade”.

The report noted that “The registered manager was very well thought of by people, their relatives and staff. They worked by example and provided extremely good management and leadership. Bramley Court is part of the local community, despite being set away from residential housing, and benefits from frequent visits from local groups. Staff work towards continually improving people’s experience of living at the home and have a ‘can-do’ attitude which means nothing was impossible.”

Bramley Court joins the top 3.5% of care homes in England with this exclusive rating.
